A graduate of Mexia High School, Dr. Allbright attended Navarro and received an Associate of Arts degree in 1964.

Transferred to Sam Houston State University where he received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees.

Received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

Began his career as a Sociologist for the Texas Department of Corrections in 1968.

In 1969, he began teaching at Alvin Community College and became chairman of Behavioral Sciences in 1970.
-
In 1976 he was appointed as President of Alvin Community College where he served until 2014.
