He met his wife Franchelle McWilliams while attending Navarro.

He worked at Bethlehem Steel and then opened and operated Humble Oil & Refining in Corsicana.

Was active member of the Lion’s Club and supported the Cripple Children’s Camp, Program for Glasses and Eye Bank, Christmas parties for the children of the State Home, and the Texas War on Drugs.

Mr. Baggett was a member of the Lion’s Hall of Fame.
